The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Poland Office offers interested university students a possibility to take out internships with this office, for a period of two to six months.
Who we are looking for:
Students who have completed the bachelor level (the German Grundstudium) university course in a social or cultural study area, speak Polish, and have social and political engagements. Those interested please send your CV with a detailed cover letter. The letter should state your reasons for seeking co-operation with our Warsaw Office. Please do not forget to indicate when you will be available for your internship, and send us your application, along with the relevant credentials and certificates, by e-mail only: bsendhardt@feswar.org.pl
What we offer :
Our well-equipped premises offer interns their own PC work station. Our foundation works closely with Polish research staff, which provides us with first-rate opportunities for study and research work.
No pre-arranged topic of work is allocated to Interns, as all areas can be discussed in advance of intership. Responsibilities of interns working at the foundation include the analysis of current political, economic or social developments, and assisting in planning, preparation and completion of FES seminars and conferences. Regrettably, the FES cannot provide contractual salary for internships. It may be possible to attain financial support in Germany, by applying for "studies abroad" under the German Auslands-BaföG programme or for an ERASMUS scholarship which is usually by your home university.
The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung can assist you in finding accommodation for you, and also with your travel arrangements to Poland and back.
